Ascendo Fitness Desktop to manage nutrition database
- The Nutrition database in Ascendo Fitness Desktop includes 7293 items.
- The data comes from the USDA Nutrient Database Standard Reference (SR-19), the latest version of the industry benchmark for nutrition information.
- Each nutrition item contains nutrient values for Calories, Proteins, Total Fats (Lipids), Fiber, Sugar, Sodium, Saturated Fats, Monounsaturated Fats, Polyunsaturated Fats and Cholesterol.
- Add, edit or delete any item, nutrient value or serving size.
- Synchronize nutrition items with your BlackBerry. Select only the items you want to synchronize so you can optimize the database for your needs.
- Create custom databases quickly and easily for special diets, favorite restaurants, international foods and different languages.
- Import and export Nutrition Items so you can exchange food lists with other people.
Comprehensive set of Databases and Tools
- The Nutrition database on the BlackBerry has been optimized so that you don't have to page through 1000 entries when you search for items containing the word "Beef".
- Select additional entries from the Fitness Desktop and load them to your BlackBerry.
- Record daily exercises from a comprehensive database including endurance exercises(running, swimming, biking), sports(tennis, golf, soccer) and household activities(raking, shoveling snow).
- Record daily work-outs from a strength training database including over 100 items like crunches, curls, push-ups, etc.
- Add, edit and delete daily entries from nutrition and exercise.
- Copy Entries from one date to another.
- Calculate Daily Totals for calories, carbs, proteins, fats, fiber, sodium, cholesterol, etc. and compare with the goals you set.
- Calculate Net Daily Calories.
- Create additional Nutrition and Exercise types.
- Export daily entries and send them to your PC by email where you can store and use your data with products like Excel.
Record Daily Entries and Track your Progress
- Create daily Nutrition entries with multiple and/or partial serving sizes.
- Create daily Exercise entries that include user defined fields. For example you could record sets "100 lbs X 20 reps" or course information "La Jolla Half Marathon".
- Record weight entries with notes to track your progress with respect to your objective.
- Calculate daily Totals for Nutrition and Exercise values.
- Display graphs comparing Calorie, Carbohydrates, Fats and Proteins intake compared to your goals.
- Display graph comparing calories burned to your objective.
- Display graph comparing your weight to your objective.
- All graphs adapt to data you have entered and device screen size to maximize readability.
Personalize Settings and Calculate Fitness Ratios
- Select US (lbs & inches) or Metric (kilograms & centimeters) measurements.
- Set goals for Weight, Nutrition intake and Calories burned.
- Enter personal information such as Height, Weight, Gender and Age.
- Calculate fitness ratios such as Body Mass Index, Basal Metabolic Rate, Body Fat Percentage, Ideal Weight, Healthy Weight and Maximum Heart Rate based your personal information.
- Enter Goals that are used to compare actual values in Graphs and Daily Totals.
- Select "Beginner" user mode to display help alerts when you start using Ascendo Fitness. Change user mode to "Expert" to remove alerts when you are comfortable with the product.
