SMS Eraser : Version 3.0

SMS Eraser is a self-destructing text messaging (SMS) application that allows Blackberry users to send self-destructing text messages that can be programmed to self-destruct after a set amount of time (i.e. 15 seconds) or vanish after a set number of views (1 or 2 views). Once a message self-destructs, the message is gone from both the sending and receiving cell phones. Users of the application can also send pictures and photos to others that will self-destruct at a predetermined time.

Additionally, the text messages and pictures are very difficult to print, save or copy. In addition to the self-destructing feature the self-destructing SMS application offers group texting, emoticons and organizational tools such as the ability to create groups

User Guide

Installing SMS Erase:
· Download the application to your Blackberry Device.
· Allow permissions on the application. Click on the always allow button and allow the application to access your device.

Using SMS Erase to send a message:
· Open up the application in your Blackberry by clicking on the SMS Erase icon.
· Select 'New Message'
· Select the contact that you wish to message from the contact list.
· If there are multiple numbers for the contact that you are messaging, select the number from the popup that you wish to send you message to.
· Select the type of message you wish to send.

    o New Text Message - Send a regular text-based message (same type as your default SMS application sends.

    o New Destructing Text Message - Send Self-Destructing Text Message.

    o New Picture Message - Send a Picture message with a picture that is stored on your phone.

    o New Destructing Picture Message - Send Self-Destructing Picture Message.

· You will see your Recipient(s) listed on the 'Enter your Message Screen'
· If you wish to add additional recipients, click on the button
· Click on 'Add Recipient' from the popup list.
· Repeat previous 2 steps to add additional recipients.
· If available as an option (it will appear for self destructing text and self destructing pictures), select Open 1x, Open 2x or 15 Sec.
· Type your message. To insert Smiley click on the 'insert smiley' button and select your smiley that you wish to add to your message
· Click your Select button and click on Send.

Creating a Group:
· Open your Application
· Click on Manage Groups
· Click on the Add Group link
· Enter a group name
· Select the contacts/numbers that you wish to add to your group
· Click on the Select button (trackball or trackwheel) and click save.
